The Full Tilt Poker felt was very busy last night, with Tom “Durrrr” Dwan recording over 2,000 hands against up-and-coming player AARookie. The fresh face poker pro managed to snag away over $150K from Dwan, over three tables of $40/$80 No Limit Hold’Em.
Dwan played a large volume of hands not only with AARookie, but also across multiple stakes against different opponents. Dwan managed to log hands in $25/$50 NLHE, $500/$1000 Mixed Limit 7-game, $100/$200 Pot Limit Omaha, and $200/$400 Cap PLO.
While most of the action was held within the heads-up match with AARookie, small fireworks also set blaze when the red pro decided against playing his current rival Daniel “Jungleman12” Cates. While Dwan mentioned he was too out of it to play the No Limit specialist, he then turned right to opponent AARookie and logged a lengthy session. Unfortunately, he didn’t fair well in that battle either, as AARookie put a big dent in the Full Tilt pro’s earnings for 2010.
Interestingly enough, Jungleman12 actually sat down and watched Dwan as his heads-up battle was taking place.
Dwan is now down over $500K in the month of September, which includes most of his downswing against Jungleman12 in the Durrrr Challenge.
Meanwhile, Phil Ivey managed to take over $50K from his recent Limit Hold’Em rival “deprimiert,” whom both Antonius and Ivey have taken turns extracting 6 figures from over the past few weeks.
Take a look at a one of the bigger hands from the Durrrr vs. AARookie heads-up match, as well as a short video of the session.
