“Son-in-Law” Schools “Purdue80″
January 29, 2007
Some high stakes no-limit action took place on Full Tilt table Halbert. As “Purdue80″ awaited an opponent, “Son-in-Law” took the seat across the table and the players engaged in some heads-up $300/$600 NL Hold’em. Althought “Purdue80″ attained the early lead, “Son-in-Law” controlled most of the match and with a good run of cards was able to rake in over $130K from “Purdue80″ after 80 minutes of play. A final $155K+ hand proved to be the end of the match as “Purdue80″ met his mtach and left the table.

The first big hand played between these two high stakes players occured as “Son-in-Law” just limped in pre-flop and both players saw a Q♣ 3♣ K♥ flop. “Pur♦ue80″ ♣♥e♣ke♦ over to “Son-in-Law” w♥o ma♦e a minimum $600 bet. W♥en t♥e 5♣ landed on the river “Purdue80″ checked it once again and “Son-in-Law” made a $12,600 bet into the $19K+ pot. Another check-raise from “Purdue80″ and “Son-in-Law” now faced an all-in call.

After some thought, “Son-in-Law” made the call and “Purdue80″ showed Q♥ 6♦ for two pair, Queen♠ an♦ Sixe♠. However, “Son-in-Law” reveale♦ 2♣ 4♦ for a rivered Six high straight which was good enough to take down the big $91K+ pot.

Got something to say?

Son in Law schools Purdue because he is a freakin luck box…change the heading it makes no sense….
Yah I agree man. It doesn’t take much skill to 3 bet the turn against a hand that has you crushed and then river a gutshot. I don’t play high stakes but usually when somebody raises me on a KQ63 board I don’t reraise with 4 high. Son in Law seems like some typical power player who just never stops raising and never folds. Last hand is a cooler but still Purdue has him totally trapped. No schooling going on there.
P.S. Hennigan is gonna win it today.
