Big High Stakes Poker Moments Part 2
October 1, 2006
It’s again time for Prima-network and the HU $200/$400 NL game. And again, Patrik Antonius A.K.A. I_KnockOut_U this time against a Norwegian online phenom Johnny Lodden A.K.A. Bad_Ip. Many people state this as the “greatest online battle of all time”, Bad_Ip coming out finally as the big winner. These two are young, and they’re probably the best of the world when playing No Limit Texas Hold’em online. Let me tell you, it could have ended both ways, but Bad_Ip came out with the well-earned victory. And as funny as it sounds, it took only few main hands that actually settled the match.
On the 1st one, Patrik was holding AQs and raised from the button to $1,400, Bad_Ip re-raised it to $4,200, Patrik re-raised to $12,400 and Bad_Ip called. The flop came Q42. Patrik bets $22,000 and Bad_Ip goes all in with about $140,000, while Patrik had over $300,000. Patrik finally called and Bad_Ip shows KK. But it wasn’t over yet as the turn is an Ace. Now Bad_Ip has 2 outs and the river is, of course a K.
2nd hand Patrik again with AQ. Bad_Ip makes it $1,400 pre-flop and Patrik only calls. The flop is AT4 Bad_Ip betting $2,400 and Patrik re-raising $9,600, Bad_Ip calls. The turn brings an ace, while Patrik bets $18,000 and Bad_Ip moving all in. Patrik calls for his last $60,000 and Bad_Ip shows A3. The river is a 3, Bad_Ip taking home a pot worth of $180,000. The 2nd hand was the one that worked as the final facing of these two. Patrik soon got his grind on again though, but Johnny Lodden came out of this as the winner.

Prima-network and the HU $200/$400 NL game, again, now starring Johnny Lodden A.K.A. Bad_Ip vs. Ip_Control (there’s a rumour that his name would be Per Ummer, a Swedish millionaire). This was the face-up which didn’t draw as much attention as the other big ones, but it was worth of time to watch. Just as the battle between Bad_Ip and I_Grind_On_U A.K.A. Fuat Can, which had the record of the biggest hand in online history, worth of $357,256, Bad_Ip winning it.

Prima-network and the HU $200/$400 NL game this time with TiltMeNot A.K.A. Bengt Sonnert vs. Bad_Ip. It was Bad_Ip’s turn to suffer loss, as these two kept going at each other over and over again. Actually, it seemed like Bad_Ip was on a tilt which would go on for weeks. For example, losing $400,000 in only half an hour to TiltMeNot and continuously losing smaller amounts tells you that something is wrong.
Though it’s true that Bad_Ip had some bad luck, after TiltMeNot made a bad beat on him couple of times he was totallyon tilt, shooting off his money as people in the chat tell him to stop and find someone to talk to. But this wasn’t yet enough for Bad_Ip, who started against Fast_Freddie decently but soon started to lose again. Small losses lead to the biggest hand ever seen in online poker’s history which we’re about to go through. I want to you to know that these guys had over $800,000 on the table, Bad_Ip had about $230,000 when the hand started.
Bad_Ip raised $1,200 from the button when Freddie re-raising to $4,000. The flop comes 7c Ah Ac when Freddie bets $8,000 as Bad_Ip raises to $16,000. Freddie re-raises to $32,000 and Bad_Ip calls. The turn is 5s. Freddie bets $74,000, Bad_Ip goes all in for a little under $190,000 and Freddie calls. The river is a K, Bad_Ip mucks and Fast_Freddie wins the biggest hand in online poker history by trip aces, $465,451.

Got something to say?

The comment about the “biggest pot online ever” is unfortenately not correct. Antonius aka. Luigi696 won a $635.000 pot from Ballsridet at FullTilPoker at PL Omaha $200/$400 Uncapped a month ago when he hit the nutstr8 on the river to beat Ballsriders second str8 and topset.
