High stakes poker professionals Brian Townsend and Justin Smith got involved in a four-table battle of 7-Game mixed action. They faced off fpr almost three hours with $500/$1000 limit stakes and $100/$200 NL/PL blinds on Full Tilt Poker tables Cardinal Crest, Lineman, Nabakov 1, and Somerset Hills. Townsend came out ahead in the Pot-Limit Omaha ($79K+), Razz ($21K+), and Limit Hold’em ($9K+) rounds. Smith’s wins occured in Stud Hi ($53K+), Stud Hi/Lo ($36K+), and No-Limit Hold’em ($16K+) action. Smith was actually up over $100K before the match ended with Townsend’s $90K+ five-minute rush. That would send Smith storming off the tables as Townsend managed to slight edge his opponent with an overall $1,200 win through 1,316 total hands played.
