During the early morning hours on Full Tilt Poker, high stakes professionals Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies were involved in a heads-up game of $500/$1000 Pot-Limit Omaha. Around 20 minutes into their battle, these two sick gamblers decided, at Sahamies’ request, to employ a mandatory pre-flop raise and reraise every hand. That essentially meant that they played at the ridiculous stakes of $3000/$9000 blinds for the next 25 minutes.
The uber high stakes created three $162K hands won by Dwan that didn’t go past the flop, and another three monster pots worth $400K or more — two of which Sahamies took down. After 110 total hands of action, Sahamies would leave the table with a $160K+ loss to Dwan.
