Hansen Obliterates Dwan; $895K Win Puts Great Dane At $1.915 Million In 24 Hours

It was quite a historic day for the Great Dane at the Full Tilt Poker tables. He used his heads-up poker tables Hansen Hangout, Hansen Knockout, and Hansen Suckout to engage in dominating matches against three different opponents. As if winning a ridiculous $833K+ over Di Dang and another $186K+ against David Benyamine wasn’t enough, Gus Hansen saved the best for last. He took on internet phenom Tom “durrrr” Dwan on his three tables along with table durrrr.

Hansen would go on to take down the five largest pots of the six-hour match, all of which were worth at least $195K. He left the tables after six hours of pure domination with an astounding $894K+ in winnings. Around 35 minutes later, Hansen would return to the tables and stole $1,500 worth of small blinds from Dwan to bring his total to over $895K in 1,031 hands. Adding up his previous winnings over the past 24 hours plus, and Hansen had accumulated an unprecedented $1,915,244 in 2,388 overall heads-up PLO hands played. With a $218K+ loss to Ilari Sahamies suffered during his play against Hansen, Dwan would finish his day with a sick $1.114 million loss in just over six hours of action.
