Ivey Picks Up $40K Limit Hold’em Win Over Hawrilenko

Over on Full Tilt Poker table Matt Hawrilenko, high stakes professionals Phil Ivey and Matt Hawrilenko himself were engaged in a heads-up $2000/$4000 Limit Hold’em battle. Things were going well for Ivey as he was up over $180K just short of an hour into the match. But Hawrilenko soon made his comeback as he won back $120K+ over the next 15 minutes of play. This is were Ivey would take a 40 minute break before returning to the table and proceeding to win almost $70K in just nine quick hands. But once again, Hawrilenko was able to counter that rush as he would then win over $91K in the nine hands following his opponent’s mini-rush. That’s when Ivey decided to call it quits as he left the table with a small $40K win after 286 hands of heads-up action.
