Benyamine Schools Hawrilenko; $211K Hold’em/H.O.R.S.E. Win

It was quite a performance put on by the high stakes Frenchman as he tangled with Limit Hold’em specialist Matt “Hoss_TBF” Hawrilenko in their usual heads-up Hold’em/H.O.R.S.E. setup. Starting around midnight, these two high stakes pros were going back forth as they played 50 hands of each: $1000/$2000 Limit Hold’em and $1000/$2000 H.O.R.S.E. After around five and a half hours of the game swtiching around on Full Tilt Poker tables Mirasol and Harlin for Hold’em, and Mark and Corn for H.O.R.S.E., Hawrilenko was down over $173K in the games other than Hold’em.

Hawrlienko was clearly tired of H.O.R.S.E. and asked Benyamine to play strictly Hold’em and he agreed. They would play just Hold’em for another half-an-hour before Benyamine wanted back to their Hold’em/H.O.R.S.E. mix. Unwilling to undertake further punishment, Hawrilenko finally called it a night with a $37K+ loss during the Hold’em hands. Benyamine had raked in a very convincing $211K+ total win over Hawrilenko.
