I realize that High Stakes Report was down over the weekend and I wanted to apologize for the downtime. We had an issue regarding copyright over the vBulletin poker forum software.
For a much better explanation, please read and Digg Kyle Healey’s article on the topic.Â
vBulletin had reported to our host that the poker forum software we were using was not licensed, even though it really was. They requested that the “infringing material be removed or disabled” by filing a legal afidavit with the host, and therefore the host took the entire website down. Nobody here at High Stakes Report was contacted and we had to find out by going to the site and seeing that it was down.
I had to call the number displayed on the broken website to find out what was going on, and had to go back and forth with my host’s legal department via email (talk about slow!) all weekend long. It didn’t help that their lawyers aren’t in full staff on the weekends.
The license to operate this software was registered to the incorrect URL and this has since been corrected. I apologize for this error, and everything should be in working order from now on. You should have no further problems with the use of High Stakes Report and you will start seeing new reports soon.
Regards,
High Stakes Report
