Matusow Goes Bust, Then Borrows

After the $100/$200 NL Hold’em game broke down on Full Tilt, Full Tilt Team member Mike “The Mouth” Matusow found himself heads-up against “Zigmund”. A few hands later, “Zigmund” busted Matusow and had The Mouth asking for a loan. After a $20K transfer, Matusow and “Zigmund” founds themselves playing heads-up PLO and the two were not so friendly anymore a few hands into play.

This first No-Limit Hold’em hand had “Zigmund” showing great agression against Matusow. After a raise pre-flop, “Zigmund” fired $1,200 on the flop. Matusow called and “Zigmund” fired once again on the turn. Another call from Matusow and “Zigmund” moved all-in on the river. Matusow thought deeply before finally folding his hand giving “Zigmund” the $10K+ pot.

The very next hand “Zigmund” raises it up to $600, followed by a reraise up to $1,800 from Matusow. “Zigmund” then put in a minimum reraise up to $3K total. Matusow made the call and the flop came . Matusow quickly moved in and “Zigmund” beat him into the pot. Matusow flipped up for an open-ended straight draw while “Zigmund” showed for a pair of Aces. The on the turn killed Matusow’s Ace outs and he was now drawing to four out. No river came and “Zigmund” pulled in the pot worth nearly $16K.

Matusow then quickly asked “Zigmund” for a loan. Here is an excerpt of the banter shared between the two.

After Matusow finally received the $20K loan, they found themselves playing some heads-up $50/$100 PL Omaha. Matusow sat down with a short buy-in of $4K and was soon forced to buy in full for $10K.

Their heads-up game was soon broken up by other players and the following hand came up that led into a rather humurous argument between the two professionals that ended with Matusow leaving the table.
