It seems PokerStars.com is trying to keep the competition close with rivals Full Tilt Poker and Ultimate Bet…and now the cat is finally out of the bag! Lee Jones and company have added an arsenal of new high stakes games to its system. What does this mean for you? Obv more railage action for your pc! With games ranging from $100/$200 NLHE and $200/$400 NLHE, as well as a sick array of $1,000/$2,000 LHE, 2-7 Triple Draw, and HORSE tables, pokerstars.com/”>PokerStars is stepping up to the plate and really trying to keep their whales from migrating to other popular sites.
Now as a quick sidenote the new higher-limit games have only been in rotation for about 2 weeks now. There hasn’t been any action whatsoever at the $500/$1,000 and $1,000/$2,000 LHE games as of yet (TLK, Benyamine, and Ivey should hopefully change that soon?). And as far as mixed games like HORSE and 2-7 Triple Draw go, there has much been much scarcity. The only games that are even getting any players at the moment are $100/$200 NLHE, where big ringers like H @ ££INGGOL have been testing out the new high-limit waters.
Over the past few days, I have seen such online players as ActionJeff, Rekrul, $tinger88, MrSmokey1, and Genius28 tackle the $100/$200 NLHE tables, with most of the players only doing random Heads-Up battles. Poker Pro Barry Greenstein, who is also rumored to be the man in charge of all the high stakes action at Stars, was also spotted playing 3-handed with H @ LL and MrSmokey1. It’ll definitely be interesting to see what players [online][and][pro][alike] come out of the woodworks to try and test their skill and their bankrolls at these super high-limits.
