D’Agostino Takes On “Ozzy 87″

Last night on FullTilt, John D’Agostino was playing against Aurangzeb “Ozzy 87″ Sheikh in a $200/$400 PL Omaha game. Building his stack well into the six figures, Ozzy 87 had taken an early lead in the match. But that didn’t last long as D’Agostino managed to win it all back and then some with some good poker play and a big $150K+ pot.

This first featured hand shifted the momentum D’Agostino’s way. After a check-check flop of , Ozzy 87 fired a $2400 bet in the turn. With a call from D’Agostino, the river prompted another bet from Ozzy 87. With some thought, D’Agostino had check-raised Ozzy 87′s $5600 river bet $17K total. A reluctant call from Ozzy 87 revealed for Tens full. The fortunate river gave D’Agostino the $41K+ pot and he never looked back.

The huge pot started with a reraise up to $3600 total from D’Agostino. After the flop, D’Agostino decided to slow down and check-called Ozzy 87′s $6K bet. The on the turn and D’Agostino checked once again. A big bet of $16K from Ozzy 87 and D’Agostino made the call. The river brought the and another check from D’Agostino. Facing a big pot bet of over $50K, D’Agostino called all-in and was relieved to see Ozzy 87′s for a missed flush draw. After D’Agostino flipped up , he revealed a better missed flush draw but managed to nail running Jacks. His trip Jacks were good and he raked in monster $151K+ pot. Ozzy 87 quit the match short thereafter as more players joined.
