In a game that started with with six players at a $200/$400 Pot-Limit Omaha table yesterday afternoon on FullTilt, Phil Ivey found himself one on one against Brian “sbrugby” Townsend. They were going at it at the $300/$600 NL Hold’em table as well. In a heads-up Omaha match that last about an hour, Ivey managed to win over $250k from his opponent before sbrugby finally gave up and focused on the NL Hold’em battle between the two.

The first big hand played between Ivey and sbrugby came when the table was 6-handed. Four players took a flop of

. After it was checked to sbrugby, he bet the pot of $5600 followed by a check-raise from Ivey to $22,400 total. With another raise and an all-in, the players showed

for Ivey and

for sbrugby. Ivey’s top two pair was behind sbrugby’s bottom set and was drawing to a King or a Nine to outdraw sbrugby’s 4 to 1 favorite. The
on the turn was a crusher for sbrugby as he found himself needing the case Seven to win the huge pot. No miracle came as the
hit the river and Ivey saw himself raking in a $116k+ pot.

Their next big confrontation didn’t include the usual all-in flop. With a raise from sbrugby out of the small blind, Ivey defended his big blind and took a

flop. Pot-bet and a call brought the
turn. Another pot-bet from sbrugby and Ivey raised the pot to $26,400. Just a call from sbrugby and the
river had sbrugby pushing all-in representing a flush. After some moments of thought, Ivey folded to the $16k all-in bet and saw sbrugby take down the $60k pot.

The next big pot featured Ivey going again “batoelrob.” A raise from Ivey out of the small blind had batoelrob reraising the pot out of the big blind. The

flop was checked through and Ivey led the
turn with a $6k bet. A cal from batoelrob and the river brought the
. Ivey fired once again with $16k this time. With some hesitation, batoelrob made the call and was disappointed to see Ivey turn up

for a rivered two pair and the winner of the $51k+ pot.

The next featured hand was contested once again by Ivey and sbrugby. Ivey’s relentless agression was displayed in this hand as he reraised the pot pre-flop to $4600 against sbrugby’s original raise. He fired a bet of $8,800 on the flop, followed by a $20,800 bet on the turn. With the final board showing

, he continued firing with a huge pot-sized bet of $60,800 on the river. After some deep thought, sbrugby was unable to make the river call and Ivey took down the $68k+ pot.

Now a heads-up match, Ivey continued to rake in the pots. This next hand had sbrugby once again check-calling Ivey’s continuous bets. After the usual button raise and call pre-flop, sbrugby check-called Ivey’s $2k bet on the

flop. The
turn saw a $5200 check-call from sbrugby. The
river was once again checked and Ivey fired again with $15,200. After sbrugby’s call, Ivey revealed

for the nut-straight. Ivey took down another pot worth $47k+.

Trying to fight Ivey’s nice rush of cards, sbrugby tried some agression on this next hand. He check-raised the

flop up to $7250. With Ivey still hanging in, the
incited a big $15k bet from sbrugby. After pondering the situation, Ivey made a small raise up to $32,800 forcing sbrugby to fold rather quickly. Ivey raked in yet another pot with this one being worth almost $47k.

The final hand before the punishment was finally over featured sbrugby trying to fight back Ivey’s aggression. After reraising it pre-flop to $3600, sbrugby decided to check the

flop and Ivey surely didn’t pass on another opportunity to take the lead. His $6k bet on the flop was called and the
on the turn was checked again by sbrugby. After an $18k bet from Ivey, sbrugby made a move at the pot and moved all-in for over $43k.

Ivey made a rather quick call and showed

for two pair, Sevens and Threes. The Nine on the turn had paired sbrugby but was no good as he showed

for a pair of Aces. Needing an Ace, King, or Nine, sbrugby was drawing to only 6 outs. The
on the river did not help anyone and Ivey raked in the six-figure pot worth over $106k. The internet pro finally called it quits after this hand and left Ivey sitting on a $400k stack for all the ‘birds to admire.
