Phil Hellmuth on UltimateBet, Matusow winning
October 8, 2006 | 1 Comment
Phil “The Poker Brat” Hellmuth decided to play some online poker at Ultimate Bet today. I gotta say, it seems like he has been training writing with keyboard because there was an explanation always when he lost a pot - just like he would be playing live. Normally at this time there could be more traffic, but now it was Phil Hellmuth so many pros came to get their money from him. Well, like on TV, Phil got beat up when he plays cash games.First it was $300/$600 Limit Hold’em. Like you see from this screenshot, he was pretty much lowstack on the table after going through some “bad beats”.
After this he moved to $300/$600 Triple Draw 2-7 and lost about $30,000 there. He complained after every beat, and wanted to play No Limit Hold’em. Well, “surprise surprise”, he lost there too. It was time for Phil Hellmuth to leave.

Mike Matusow finally won a session, congratulations! I think this is very important for Mike and will surely help him to get some confidence back. “The Mouth” played against Helge Larsen heads up, and “Urindanger” came once a while to the table to try his luck.
Mike got left with about $100,000 and on this screenshot he’s already over $90,000. This was $100/$200 NL so 5x buy-in is pretty good!
Hopefully, some day we could see Mike Matusow vs. Phil Hellmuth online. That would be something!

Big numbers on the table
October 6, 2006 | 1 Comment
No post for a long time, I’m sorry.
I got a lot of random high stakes poker stuff to post.. some nice screenshots and so on.
First of all, on Full Tilt player named LFISGD has been playing pretty good. Seems like he’s Brad “Yukon” Booth who you can see on High Stakes Poker season 2.

Another crazy player that surely has caught everyone’s attention is TexasLimitKing on Full Tilt. It looks like he wins every single time he plays. Well, I can tell that he’s from Sweden but I don’t want to tell his name unless he wants himself. Patrik Antonius put $1,000,000 on the table right? Well, TexasLimitKing put $1,000,000 on 2 tables at the same time, here’s a pic of another one, he had lost some of it in that situation though.
Also, today just when Erik123 joined to the table, he got a nice hand:

Prima has a new guy dominating the $50/$100 NL tables, “WhitePeach”. His nickname on Full Tilt is Helge Larsen. Helge Larsen was complaining about the Full Tilt software on the chat, Mike Matusow didn’t like that and told him to stay on the Prima if he likes it so much more.
Here’s a fun pic of $200/$400 NL game on Prima (look at the names):

By the way, Helge Larsen is playing 2 $100/$200 NL tables on Full Tilt, I will follow how it goes. Will keep everyone more updated in the future. Oh, and the player profiles + top-10 will be here soon.

Big High Stakes Poker Moments Part 2
October 1, 2006 | 3 Comments
It’s again time for Prima-network and the HU $200/$400 NL game. And again, Patrik Antonius A.K.A. I_KnockOut_U this time against a Norwegian online phenom Johnny Lodden A.K.A. Bad_Ip. Many people state this as the “greatest online battle of all time”, Bad_Ip coming out finally as the big winner. These two are young, and they’re probably the best of the world when playing No Limit Texas Hold’em online. Let me tell you, it could have ended both ways, but Bad_Ip came out with the well-earned victory. And as funny as it sounds, it took only few main hands that actually settled the match.
On the 1st one, Patrik was holding AQs and raised from the button to $1,400, Bad_Ip re-raised it to $4,200, Patrik re-raised to $12,400 and Bad_Ip called. The flop came Q42. Patrik bets $22,000 and Bad_Ip goes all in with about $140,000, while Patrik had over $300,000. Patrik finally called and Bad_Ip shows KK. But it wasn’t over yet as the turn is an Ace. Now Bad_Ip has 2 outs and the river is, of course a K.
2nd hand Patrik again with AQ. Bad_Ip makes it $1,400 pre-flop and Patrik only calls. The flop is AT4 Bad_Ip betting $2,400 and Patrik re-raising $9,600, Bad_Ip calls. The turn brings an ace, while Patrik bets $18,000 and Bad_Ip moving all in. Patrik calls for his last $60,000 and Bad_Ip shows A3. The river is a 3, Bad_Ip taking home a pot worth of $180,000. The 2nd hand was the one that worked as the final facing of these two. Patrik soon got his grind on again though, but Johnny Lodden came out of this as the winner.

Prima-network and the HU $200/$400 NL game, again, now starring Johnny Lodden A.K.A. Bad_Ip vs. Ip_Control (there’s a rumour that his name would be Per Ummer, a Swedish millionaire). This was the face-up which didn’t draw as much attention as the other big ones, but it was worth of time to watch. Just as the battle between Bad_Ip and I_Grind_On_U A.K.A. Fuat Can, which had the record of the biggest hand in online history, worth of $357,256, Bad_Ip winning it.

Prima-network and the HU $200/$400 NL game this time with TiltMeNot A.K.A. Bengt Sonnert vs. Bad_Ip. It was Bad_Ip’s turn to suffer loss, as these two kept going at each other over and over again. Actually, it seemed like Bad_Ip was on a tilt which would go on for weeks. For example, losing $400,000 in only half an hour to TiltMeNot and continuously losing smaller amounts tells you that something is wrong.
Though it’s true that Bad_Ip had some bad luck, after TiltMeNot made a bad beat on him couple of times he was totallyon tilt, shooting off his money as people in the chat tell him to stop and find someone to talk to. But this wasn’t yet enough for Bad_Ip, who started against Fast_Freddie decently but soon started to lose again. Small losses lead to the biggest hand ever seen in online poker’s history which we’re about to go through. I want to you to know that these guys had over $800,000 on the table, Bad_Ip had about $230,000 when the hand started.
Bad_Ip raised $1,200 from the button when Freddie re-raising to $4,000. The flop comes 7c Ah Ac when Freddie bets $8,000 as Bad_Ip raises to $16,000. Freddie re-raises to $32,000 and Bad_Ip calls. The turn is 5s. Freddie bets $74,000, Bad_Ip goes all in for a little under $190,000 and Freddie calls. The river is a K, Bad_Ip mucks and Fast_Freddie wins the biggest hand in online poker history by trip aces, $465,451.
