A LOT of action on Prima - July 26th

July 31, 2006 | Leave a Comment

Prima was busy today, oh my god how much action. $50/$100 and $100/$200 NL tables were flooding.

When I opened the software, there were two tables with people on the higher stakes, $50/$100 and $100/$200.

On the $100/$200 table there were sitting:

Zweig with $25,000
Laaur2 with $20,000
lucypucy with $3,000
badankadonk with $5,500
carterdanks with $6,500

This is the first hand I saw on that table;

Pre-Flop:

lucypucy raises for $400
Laaur2 raises for $2,000
carterdanks goes all-in for $6,000
lucypucy folds
Laaur2 called for $4,100

The Flop: 3d Qd 9s

The Turn: Qh

The River: 6h

carterdanks shows KK for two pairs, Kings over Queens
Laaur2 shows 99 for full-house, Nines full of Queens

The game continued for some time with no bigger pots, but Zweig had like 17k at one point, won 7 hands in a row and got up to 28k.

Later on, Zweig was in a lot of action and had a “war” with Laaur2, like you can see from these 3 following hands;

Pre-Flop:

Laaur2 raises for $450
Zweig raises for $1,400
Laaur2 calls for $1,050

The Flop: Ac Ks 2d

Laaur2 checks
Zweig bets for $2,800
Laaur2 calls for $2,800

The Turn: 9s

Laaur2 checks
Zweig bets for $5,400
Laaur2 calls for $5,400

The River: 5h

Laaur2 checks
Zweig goes all-in for $19,761
Laaur2 goes all-in for $15,191

Laaur2 shows Ad Jc for one pair, Aces
Zweig mucks
Laaur2 wins $49,980

——

Zweig raised for $1,200
Laaur2 calls for $1,000

The Flop: As 9h 6d

Laaur2 checks
Zweig raised for $2,600
Laaur2 raised for $5,400
Zweig raised for $8,400
Laaur2 folds

Zweig wins $19,097

——

Pre-Flop:

Laaur2 raised for $800
Zweig raised for $4,200
Laaur2 goes all-in for $43,754
Zweig goes all-in for $20,056

The Flop: 4d Td Tc

The Turn: Kd

The River: 6c

Zweig shows JJ for two pairs, Jacks over Tens
Laaur2 shows AK for two pairs, Kings over Tens

Laaur2 wins $49,111

Zweig - “Nice catch fish”
Laaur2 - “lol”

——

They even continued this on $50/$100 table with following hand:

Pre-Flop:

Zweig raised for $400
Laaur2 raised for $1,150
Zweig goes all-in for $31,456
Laaur2 goes all-in for $7,357

The Flop: 3d Kd 2s

The Turn: 7d

The River: Tc

Laaur2 shows TT for three of a kind, Tens
Zweig mucks

Laaur2 wins$17,612

——

A little bit to say about today’s games, a player called “durrrrr” won a lot, about $90,000 even though he didn’t play any big pots. But he also can play on a lot of tables. He was playing two tables on UltimateBet, one on Full Tilt and three on Prima. On Full Tilt, he played against John Juanda, they played at least 30 mins but no chips were moving, they stayed pretty much the same that they were when they started, so no more comments on that.

Zweig bluffs a lot. Today’s record (I think) was 4 bluffs in a row, on 3 of them he succeeded and showed the cards, but on the 4th he failed and lost some money.

Laaur2 left with about $30,000 up
Zweig left with about $10,000 down
durrrrr left with about $90,000 up

Wow, much action. I hope we get even more tonight, be sure to check out this blog! And remember to tell your friends about it ;)

Negreanu and other things - July 25th

July 31, 2006 | Leave a Comment

PokerRoom was the place, when Daniel Negreanu himself decided to play some poker - and you can be sure of that the stakes weren’t small, just $500/$1000. His opponent was “NotSoFunNow” (I’m trying to find out who he/she is), and they both started with $30,000 stacks.

Unfortunately, I haven’t got any big info on this because seems like I had just gone to sleep when they started, now that’s a bad beat.

Anyway they played for sometime, took a break and got back at it again, Negreanu winning both times like $10,000-$20,000. That is pretty interesting because last time I saw them playing, Negreanu (who’s nickname is by the way ^KidPoker) was stuck about $80,000. They played for so long that I decided to go to sleep and when I woke up, I heard that Negreanu actually won that session. It seemed like NotSoFunNow was clearly better but anything can happen I guess.

So now, Negreanu has been beating up this guy for 2 sessions in a row. I heard that he just won in the big game at Las Vegas $500,000 in one night so he’s pretty much grinding right now.

You can see Daniel Negreanu’s winnings here at TheHendonMob.com.

————————————————

Other things that I was going to tell, is that I will start to put some screenshots here, so you guys can also see the main hands. I hope you all are having fun reading this, and I’m sure it will get better.

2nd thing, I’ll start to do some interviews with online high stakes players so be sure to check out what they say.

If you have any improvement ideas, or something that you want to see here, hit up a comment and I’ll consider it.

Erik123- - July 24th

July 31, 2006 | Leave a Comment

seriously thought that there high stakes players wouldn’t give us any more games today, but luckily I happened to open Martins Poker-software, which is on B2B-network.

One bad thing in this network is that you can’t actually see hand-historys so it makes my reporting somewhat more difficult.

Well, looked at Omaha games and guess what was there? Erik123 himself! Sitting in 50€/100€ Omaha Pot-limit table, playing against user name “chelsea”.

Erik123- vs. chelsea
67,000€ vs. 18,000€

In my mind Erik got really good cards on the board, he made like full-house, flush and a straight almost in a row. This chelsea guy proved himself a good player by still keeping himself pretty much balanced even after those hands. The hands that chelsea won, got almost never into the river, which might be a sign that Erik123 paid the absolute minimum of them.

I had been watching like 10 mins. before this hand:

Pre-Flop: chelsea raises, Erik calls.

The Flop: 468

chelsea raises, Erik re-raises and chelsea calls.

The Turn: J

chelsea raises, Erik calls.

The River: K

chelsea goes all-in, Erik calls.

chelsea shows a pair of aces,

Erik123- shows three of a kind (sixes),

Erik123- wins 37,793€

After that chelsea admits that Erik123 is better, and Erik responds simply “yup”.

That’s it for today, tomorrow more high stakes, stay tuned!

Some action on Prima’s 100/200 NL - July 24th

July 31, 2006 | Leave a Comment

I witnessed a little over an hour session of no-limit poker with stakes as $100/$200 on Prima-network. I’ll let you all know what happened, but first I’d like to remind everyone to come see this blog a little bit later - I’m always ready for games and when I spot one, it’s going to be here ;)

So, back to the business. When I opened the software, there was a heads-up game going on between “lucypucy” and “durrrrr” (yes, 5 times of “r”). Stacks were following:

durrrrr: $27,000
lucypucy: $3,500

Like 1 minute after that “Cusemato” joined to the table with $4,000. This started a crazy shooting of “all-in’s” from lucypucy. Lucypucy goes all-in pre-flop for $2,424 and Cusemato
calls. Cusemato has A9, lucy has A7 and the board hits 9, Cusemato wins a little over $5,000.

After this there we 2 re-buys from lucy, after that he/she managed to win one pot and doubled
up to about $4,000. Lucypucy does a weird move and goes all-in pre-flop and Cusemato calls.

Cusemato has AK, lucy has A8 and Cusemato wins with a high card.

One more re-buy from lucy and a double up, now durrrrr leaves the table and heads-up is about to begin when “K_B” joins to the table with $20,000.

Lucy actually got to $10,000 at one point but slowly lost it back. When he/she had $3,000 left he/she quit. Now it was heads-up between K_B and Cusemato.

K_B wins all the time a thousand or two, and the final hand was following:

K_B goes all-in pre-flop
Cusemate calls (has about $3,700 left)

The Flop:

967

The Turn:

7

The River:

3

ShowDown:

Cusemato shows A5 (one pair, sevens)
K_B shows K9 (two pairs, nines over sevens)

K_B leaves the table with $30,000 stack (+$10,000), nice job!

—————————————

It’s been really quiet in tables now that WSOP is on, but I hope to see some more Prima-network action later, and will keep this blog updated.

—————————————

On a side note, Mansion Poker just officially opened their software, it looks great! They also have some high NL tables, hopefully I can soon find something to post from that place too :)

Good luck to the tables everyone!

Bad_Ip is GRINDING - July 23rd

July 31, 2006 | Leave a Comment

Time for my first report. We got none other than Johnny Lodden himself a.k.a. bad_ip.

When I opened the software (Bet365) on Prima-network, I saw bad_ip going at it with a new player for me, “beastman2″, of course on the internet’s biggest NL game, $200/$400.

Chip stacks were following:

bad_ip: $91,500
beastman2: $69,500

They played for few minutes until beastman2 said “brb” on the chat. This break took for about 3 minutes and they started again with stacks being;

bad_ip: $95,000
beastman2: $66,000

We enjoyed this heads-up match only for 5 minutes after that, when bad_ip finished the game off with following hand:

Pre-Flop:

bad_ip raises for $1,200
beastman2 raises for $4,400 more
bad_ip calls for $3,400

The Flop:

Ah Js 6c

beastman2 bets for $7,000
bad_ip calls for $7,000

The Turn:

6d

beastman2 bets for $16,000
bad_ip calls for $16,000

The River:

9d

beastman2 goes all-in for $40,843
bad_ip calls for $40,843

beastman2 shows 9 9 6 6 A (2 pairs, Nines over Sixes)
bad_ip shows 6 6 6 A J (Three of a Kind, Sixes)

bad_ip wins $137,285

—————————————

Basically beastman2’s bluff didn’t go like planned, he complained about sudden “headache” and left the game.

Once again bad_ip takes the crown and wins. More to come, stay tuned…
